SwimRun Nynäshamn 2026

SwimRun Nynäshamn is set to take place on Sunday, July 19, 2026, offering participants an engaging mix of swimming and running through scenic routes along the coast. This unique race caters to a wide range of athletes, from seasoned competitors to beginners looking for their first taste of SwimRun.
The event features two primary distances:
- SwimRun 10 km (Team or Solo): Competitors will face eleven swim segments totaling approximately 1500 meters, with the longest stretch being around 220 meters. The running portions consist of twelve sections covering a total distance of roughly 8 kilometers.

- SwimRun 5 km (Team or Solo): This shorter option includes six swimming intervals amounting to nearly 900 meters in length, featuring the longest swim at approximately 206 meters. Running segments comprise seven parts totaling around four kilometers.
Both races start with a water temperature check on race day; if it’s above 16 degrees Celsius, competitors won’t need wet suits for any part of the course. However, participants are advised to bring one just in case conditions change unexpectedly or they prefer added warmth and buoyancy during their swim segments.
For those looking to introduce younger members of their family to SwimRun, a special SwimRun Family option is available. This 2-kilometer route includes three optional swimming sections with the longest being about 100 meters. While there's no official timing for this category, all participating children receive medals as part of the celebration.
Registration fees vary based on when you sign up:
- Early Entry (January 1 - April 30):
- SwimRun 10 km - $65 per person
- SwimRun 5 km - $50 per person
- Late Entry (May 1 - July 18):
- SwimRun 10 km - $80 per person
- SwimRun 5 km - $60 per person

The family category costs a nominal fee of just $5.
Participants are encouraged to register early, as the registration window will close one day before the event and no late entries will be accepted. The organizers recommend purchasing refund insurance through RaceID if there's any doubt about attending due to unforeseen circumstances.
