The Evening Anticlockwise Run invites runners to experience the unique thrill of racing under the fading light. Registration begins promptly at 6:00 PM, allowing participants ample time to collect their race numbers and familiarize themselves with the course layout before the start time of 6:30 PM. This event features a traditional route that winds predominantly in an anti-clockwise direction through scenic trails and pathways. To ensure safety during the run, all competitors are required to carry mobile phones or ICE (In Case of Emergency) contact information throughout the race. Limited on-site parking is available, but car-sharing is strongly encouraged due to space constraints. Runners will receive a detailed start list via email prior to the event, which includes their unique race number and essential maps for navigation. Race numbers must be worn visibly at all times during the run—unfolded and displayed prominently—to facilitate manual timing by officials stationed along the course. Ensuring your number is clearly visible upon crossing the finish line will guarantee that your time is accurately recorded. A highlight of this event is the inclusion of a limited edition race T-shirt with every entry, ensuring early sign-ups have better chances to secure their preferred sizes. Participants can track their progress using Strava; simply follow the link provided for an interactive view of the course (https://www.strava.com/activities/13669432385). Upon completing your run and recording your finish time with race officials, head over to the designated horsebox where you’ll be rewarded with a well-deserved cup of coffee and some delicious cake. The event also features a tail jogger who will sweep behind runners to ensure everyone stays safe throughout their journey. Race results will be uploaded to our website within 48 hours post-event for easy access, allowing participants to see how they fared against the competition. Course records currently stand at an impressive 57 minutes and 14 seconds set by Jenni Tomblin in the women’s category and a blistering pace of 41 minutes and 17 seconds achieved by Tom Anderson. While children and dogs are welcome, it is crucial that they remain under constant supervision by responsible adults to maintain everyone's safety throughout the event. Join us for an evening filled with camaraderie, scenic running routes, and rewarding refreshments!
