The Dorset Doddle

Registration opens at 8 am on event day, allowing participants a window between 8:30 am and 9 am to set off from the Jubilee Clock on Weymouth Esplanade. While the landscape is enchanting, it also presents formidable challenges with several steep climbs along the way. For those requiring transportation back from Swanage to Weymouth at the end of their run, coaches will be available with a pre-booking system in place due to limited spaces. These must be reserved ahead of time for an additional £13 charge and depart promptly from North Beach car park by 7:45 am on event day.
Upon reaching Swanage, participants are greeted at All Saints Church Hall where refreshments await them along with a hot meal to celebrate their achievement. Throughout the route, various checkpoints offer essential hydration stations and light snacks for runners who must also carry sufficient supplies of food and drink due to the remote nature of parts of the course.
The Dorset Doddle is open exclusively to runners aged 16 or older, though those under 18 require parental consent and adult supervision. Additional conditions may apply; interested participants should contact organizers directly for more information regarding these requirements.
