On Sunday, April 4th, 2027, runners will converge on Elgin for two exciting road races: the Moray Marathon and The Chilled 20 Mile. Both events are sanctioned by Scottish Athletics and offer a scenic route through North Scotland.
### Registration Details
Moray Marathon & The Chilled 20
- Start Point: Morriston Track, Haugh Road, Elgin IV30 1AW
- Chilled 20 Mile Bus Pick Up: Moray Leisure Centre Car Park (7:45am on race day)
Registration for both events must be completed online by Thursday, April 1st. No entries will be accepted at the event.
### Race Highlights
#### The Moray Marathon
The full marathon begins and ends at Morriston Track in Elgin. This challenging course is open to runners over 18 years old as of race day. Participants must adhere strictly to rules such as no headphones, buggies, or pets on the route, ensuring a fair and safe environment for all competitors.
Medal Entry:
- Start Time: 7am
- Cut-off Time: 7 hours
Runners aiming to complete in under five hours should inform organizers via email to secure an earlier start time. The event offers course records with cash prizes, as well as top male and female finisher trophies.
Non-Medal Entry:
Similar rules apply for the non-medal entry option but without a medal upon completion. Both options provide basic refreshments at the finish line, changing facilities, and access to local leisure center amenities for members of Sport Aberdeen, Hi-Life Highland, Moray Fit Life, or Leisurelink.
#### The Chilled 20 Mile
This half-day event starts in Roseisle, joining the marathon route at mile six. Runners will complete a challenging 20-mile course before finishing alongside their full-marathon counterparts back at Morriston Track.
- Start Time: 9am
- Cut-off Time: 4.5 hours
The Chilled 20 offers chip timing, medals for all finishers, and awards based on gun time for the top three male and female participants. Spectators are welcome to cheer from various points along the route.

Both races provide basic refreshments at the finish line and changing facilities with toilets available at both start and end locations. Additional amenities include food vendors and running merchandise stalls, creating a vibrant atmosphere that caters to all runners' needs.
