Treescape Chemong Lake Triathlon

The Treescape Chemong Lake Triathlon returns this year as one of Canada's premier small-scale triathlons, offering an unforgettable experience for athletes of all ages. Held at the picturesque Ennismore Waterfront Park near beautiful Chemong Lake, this event is a celebration of endurance and community spirit.
Participants can choose from several race categories to suit their skill level:
- Try-a-Tri (ages 11+): A gentle introduction with a swim of 375 meters, followed by a bike ride of 10 kilometers and a run of 3 kilometers.

- Sprint Triathlon (ages 12+): For those ready to push themselves further, this category includes a half-mile swim, a 20-kilometer bike ride, and a five-kilometer run.
- Duathlon: A challenging option for athletes who prefer running over swimming. This race features a three-kilometer jog followed by the same 20-kilometer cycling leg as the Sprint Triathlon, concluding with another five-kilometer run.
- Team Relay Sprint (ages 12+): Ideal for groups looking to collaborate and compete together, this relay involves two or three team members sharing the responsibilities of a half-mile swim, 20 kilometers on bikes, and a final five-kilometer run.
Registration fees are $105-$120 depending on your chosen category. Be aware that prices will rise by $10 starting June 1st and August 1st if you delay signing up. Additionally, bib transfers aren't permitted, but day-of registration is available until the event reaches capacity at midnight on August 8th.
The race begins with a morning check-in from 8:00 am, followed by staggered starts for different races throughout the early hours of the day:
- Try-a-Tri kicks off promptly at 9:00 am.
- The Sprint Triathlon and Duathlon events commence at 10:30 am.
Competitors will enjoy chip-timed splits provided by SplitsTiming, ensuring accurate results. Free parking is available nearby; carpooling is encouraged to minimize environmental impact.
The post-race festivities take place at Jesses Tap and Grill in Ennismore, where participants can redeem their race bibs for a $25 discount on a minimum purchase of $50. This casual gathering allows racers to unwind with friends and family after the competition.
In addition to the thrill of racing through scenic routes around Chemong Lake, athletes will be supporting local initiatives like the BEL Rotary project by participating in this event.
Medals are awarded to all finishers as well as top three male and female overall winners for both Sprint Triathlon and Duathlon categories. Team Relay medals go to the winning teams too!
