Corsa di i ziteddi

The Village of Chisà hosts the annual "Corsa di i Ziteddi," organized by Associu Chisanacciu, offering young runners an enchanting adventure through its charming streets and countryside. This free event welcomes children aged 5 to 14 years old with four distinct courses tailored to their age groups.
For younger participants under 11, the race takes them on a delightful journey around the village, weaving through narrow alleys, pathways, and picturesque spots known only to locals. Older kids get to explore new trails that have been recently reopened, including paths leading past an ancient mill, offering stunning views of Chisà and its valley.
The races begin at 6 PM from the town square under the shade of towering linden trees. Parents are welcome to accompany their children along any part of the course. Refreshment stations with both liquid and solid snacks will be available throughout the race routes as well as upon arrival back in the village center, ensuring all young runners remain energized.
After crossing the finish line, participants can join an animated evening celebration on the newly constructed esplanade behind the church. The festivities include a refreshments stand serving drinks and light meals, providing families with the perfect opportunity to socialize while enjoying the lively atmosphere of Chisà.
This event promises not only competitive fun but also educational experiences as young runners discover hidden gems within their community.
