Dunton 10k

Join us at the Langdon Nature Discovery Park on Sunday, July 26th, 2026, for an exciting day of running and fundraising. This all-new 10k race offers runners aged sixteen and over a challenging course through the picturesque trails of Langdon Hills.
The event kicks off early with a free kids fun run at 9:30 AM, open to children as young as two years old without any pre-booking required. For those looking for more distance, the main 10k race begins promptly at 10:15 AM. Both races are organized under Trail Runners Association permits and adhere to England Athletics rules.
Participants should arrive by 8:30 AM to check in at the discovery center where they will collect their numbers. While parking can be tight, car-sharing is highly encouraged to help manage congestion around the park's limited space.
The race course winds through diverse terrain within Langdon Hills, offering both scenic views and a challenging trail experience. The Essex Wildlife Trust manages this nature reserve dedicated to protecting wildlife and inspiring love for nature in visitors of all ages.
Following the races, runners can enjoy refreshments from the discovery center’s café which offers hot and cold drinks, snacks, ice creams, and sweets. The center also stocks unique gifts and memorabilia supporting local conservation efforts.
Proceeds from this event will benefit two important charities: Essex Wildlife Trust (EWT) and Brighter Opportunities for Special People (BOSP). EWT is committed to preserving the natural beauty of Essex through various nature reserves and discovery parks, while BOSP provides essential support services for children with complex disabilities or life-limiting conditions.
Online entries are available until 12 PM on Saturday, July 25th. On-the-day registrations will incur an additional £2 fee compared to early-bird pricing offered online.
