Gosfield Triathlon & Multisport 2026

The Gosfield Lake Triathlon & Multisport Event, hosted at the picturesque Gosfield Lake resort near Braintree and Halstead in Essex, offers athletes an array of challenging races set against a stunning backdrop. Organized by Born2Tri, this event takes place on July 26th, 2026.
### Race Options
Standard Distance Triathlon (£68)
- Swim: A double lap through the refreshing lake (1500m)
- Bike: Fast and undulating ride for a total of 40km
- Run: Conclude with a scenic 10km run back to the finish line by the lake
Sprint Distance Triathlon (£58)
- Swim: Single lap in the serene lake (750m)
- Bike: One loop of the challenging yet exhilarating 20km course
- Run: A quick but satisfying 5km run to round off your day
Aquabike (£42)
- Swim: Double lap through Gosfield Lake’s clear waters (1500m)
- Bike: Fast-paced ride covering a total of 40km
- Finish by re-entering the transition area without running.
Aquathlon (£42)
- Swim: A refreshing double lap in the lake (1500m)
- Run: An invigorating 10km run back to the finish line
Duathlon (£42)
- Start with a swift 5km run
- Followed by an undulating 20km bike ride through scenic countryside
- Finish strong with another 5km run, returning you to the lake’s shores.
### Course Details and Facilities
The swim course is renowned for its clear waters and picturesque setting. Cyclists will enjoy a fast but varied route that passes through charming villages like Sible Hedingham, Blackmore End, and Beazley End. Runners can look forward to an out-and-back section along paths and grassland near the lake.
Transition areas are conveniently located on the lakeside bank, ensuring easy access for all participants. The event will also feature chip timing, providing accurate results for every competitor.
### Prizes and Awards
Trophies will be awarded in various categories:
- Open (U40) & Vet (over 40)
- First place male/female winners in Aquathlon and Aquabike
All finishers receive a commemorative medal and T-shirt upon completion of their race.
### Entry Details
Entries are limited to 300 competitors, with participants required to be at least 18 years old on the day of the event.
